Toddler Valentines

As y’all are aware, we have a little issue with keeping our toddler busy & away from watching movies on repeat. So I’ve been trying some new ways to keep my little man occupied. This week we focused on Valentine’s Day!

I wanted Graeme to help me as much as he could with these cards. The first step, was setting Graeme up on the floor with a white roll of paper, a paint brush & some Crayola finger paints.
Graeme isn’t much for the actual finger portion of finger painting, he likes to use the brushes! I squirted some red & blue onto a plate, taped a large garbage bag onto the floor and taped the white paper to the garbage bag so that it wouldn’t move around on him so much.

He grabbed the brush and went to town! I’d point to a white spot on the paper and he’d slap that brush down on it. I rotated him around the paper so that we had paint covering the majority of the paper. When he was finished with the paper he started on his toes, lol.
Once he was finished painting his toes and the floor, we cleaned up and hung the art work up to dry.

The next day we grabbed Graeme’s name stamp, and he stamped small pieces of construction paper that I had cut for him. He stamped away!

I took the dried art work and cut it into many different sized hearts, Graeme was excited and watched mama cut them, he even gave them some love ❤️

I took the little hearts and some good ole Elmer’s Glue and glued them onto the stamped cards.

I love how they turned out and can not wait to show Graeme the final product! It was a fun art project, I can’t wait to do more with him!!

Happy Early Valentines, & happy toddler arts & crafts!

Peace, Love & Tie Dye
